The NASCAR Cup Series returns to Michigan International Speedway for the 2025 FireKeepers Casino 400, where Chase Briscoe has secured his third consecutive pole and fourth of the season with a blistering 36.826s lap at 195.514mph. It continues a dominant single-lap run for the JGR driver, but the big question remains — can Briscoe finally convert qualifying success into a race win, with the top online sportsbooks pricing him as a +2000 chance.
Kyle Busch starts alongside him on the front row with his best qualifying effort of the year, while Denny Hamlin and the Hendrick duo of William Byron and Kyle Larson round out the top five.
Track position matters at this wide, high-speed oval, but Michigan’s long green-flag runs mean drivers with late-race pace and pit strategy savvy are still well in the mix, regardless of starting slot.
Austin Cindric was one of Saturday’s biggest movers, posting the third-best 10-lap average in final practice and following it up with a strong qualifying run to slot into P11. He’s shown top-10 long-run speed at Kansas, Texas, and Nashville this season, and with strong race simulations backing him again at Michigan, he shapes as one of the best value plays at Stake.com on the board.
Joey Logano starts 15th but brings an elite track record to Michigan — three career wins, 590 laps led (most among active drivers), and a history of consistently finishing up front. Ford looks competitive again, and Logano’s racecraft and strategy make him a genuine threat to charge through the field if it stays green.
Ryan Blaney, last week’s winner in Nashville, rolls off from P13 and has top-five potential if the No.12 Ford holds together. His average finish over the past three Michigan races is 10.7, and even with a blown tire in practice, his car showed glimpses of mid-run pace. He’s already delivered value this month, and momentum matters heading into summer.
